Rutgers graduate students represented our department at the 10th Mid-Atlantic Colloquium of Studies in Meaning (MACSIM), hosted by the University of Maryland on April 6.
Fourth year graduate student Jiaxing Yu presented her work as a talk: “A VERUM account on the single negation interpretation of Mandarin double negation sentence”
Third year graduate student Jiayuan Chen presented his work as a poster: “The syntax and semantics of quasi-names”
Jane Li, a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University, also presented her collaborative work with fourth year Rutgers student Gérard Avelino as a poster: “Two compositions of associative plurality in Tagalog”.
