Rutgers Linguists at Sinn und Bedeutung 30

Rutgers Linguistics was well represented at Sinn und Bedeutung 30 (SuB30), held in Frankfurt, Germany, this year. Our new semantics faculty member, Professor Ryan Walter Smith, presented a poster on “The semantics of memory reports in Sorani Kurdish.”

There were also five talks by Rutgers students (Quartz Colvin, Ariela Ye and Vinny Czarnecki) and recent Rutgers alum (Sreekar Raghotham). Ziling Zhu, a graduate alum, was also in attendance at the conference.

Aside from the main session, the conference also featured a strong Rutgers presence in workshops, including the LingDem workshop, where Ying Zhang presented her joint work with Professor Dorothy Ahn.
