Welcome to the Mathematics, Reasoning and Learning Lab (MRLab) at Rutgers University, led by Miriam Rosenberg-Lee, PhD. The MRLab is focused on understanding why some individuals struggle to learn mathematical information, while others succeed easily. We use outside-the-scanner training with functional neuroimaging to understand the brain changes that accompany real-world learning. We then use this information to improve and refine instruction. We study a variety of populations, including children, and adults, with diverse backgrounds and ability levels.
