Lauren Schiller

Lauren Schiller is a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Teachers College Columbia University. She recently completed her Ph.D. at Teachers College with Dr. Siegler as her advisor. Lauren’s dissertation explored how children understand the relations among rational number notations. Previously, she completed her M.Ed. in Mind, Brain, and Education at Harvard Graduate


Melanie Pincus

Postdoctoral Scholar

Dr. Melanie Pincus is a Postdoctoral Researcher for the Mathematics, Reasoning, and Learning Lab. She received her B.S. in Earth Systems from Stanford University, and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Emory University. She is interested in the brain basis of math cognition and real-world learning, and applying that knowledge to the design of effective curriculum
