Rutgers linguists at ALS 6

Professor Akinbiyi Akinlabi taught at the African Linguistics School 6, held at Porto-Novo, Benin Republic, from July 16-July 30, 2022. He co-founded this graduate summer school in 2009. This year’s school was funded by the NSF and Yale University.

In addition, Tajudeen Mamadou Yacoubou, 6th year graduate student, served as a Teaching Assistant at ALS 6. In that capacity, he not only assisted Professors but also taught several classes in Phonological Theory and in Tone.

Professor Emerita Veneeta Dayal was also a part of ALS 6 where she co-taught Semantics with Rutgers alum Augustina Owusu.
