In addition to support services from the SN-EOF program, scholars can take advantage of various campus resources from the School of the Nursing and the Rutgers University-Newark campus.
Office of Academic Success (OAS)
The Office of Academic Success (OAS) provides one-on-one and group tutoring for all undergraduate nursing students. OAS provides academic coaching for both graduate and undergraduate students. The Office is committed to enhancing student retention and success by providing assistance to students through high-quality, innovative academic support services.
The Learning Center provides coaching and tutoring services for a range of subjects in either small groups or one-on-one. The Writing Center
The Writing Center at Rutgers University–Newark offers writing tutoring and writing workshops to all undergraduate students currently enrolled in classes at Rutgers University–Newark. Tutors help students become more independent readers and writers capable of responding well to the demands of writing within the university.
School of Nursing Advising Center
The Advising Center advises the Four-Year Traditional Program students. EOF scholars are advised to seek academic advising from their EOF counselors, but are also encouraged to reach out to the advising center for additional support regarding academic policies and procedures.
Office of Student Services
The Office of Student Services serves both prospective and enrolled students. The Office is involved with student recruitment, admission, progression and graduation, and functions as a resource for faculty and students with University-related student issues. The Department of Student Engagement is also housed in the Office of Student Services, and this department provides opportunities for co-curricular experiences through their innovative and creative programs.
Counseling Center (Health & Wellness)
The counseling center provides one-on-one counseling, support groups, psychiatric care, and online resources. All services are free and confidential.
LGBTQ & Diversity Resource Center
The LGBTQ & Diversity Resource Center supports LGBTIQ students and their allies and provides a safe space and welcoming environment for all students.
