Banned Books Week 2021

After a rewarding Banned Books Week in 2020, Books We Read members were thrilled to again join forces with SCARLA (The Student College, Academic, and Research Libraries Association) and LISSA (Library and Information Science Student Association) on behalf of Rutgers–New Brunswick Libraries on September 30, 2021 for an event called BANNED: A Virtual Banned Books Read-Out & Discussions on the Freedom to Read.

Books We Read overseas: The weekly KIT Hírlevél (Library – Information – Society Newsletter) featured a slide show and two articles about Banned Books Week 2021 in its October 6 issue based on Just Say Yes to Banned Books Week outside the United States! Books We Read is proud to support Hungarian librarians with books currently challenged.
