Online catalog

QuickSearch, the library’s online search engine for scholarly works, is also a perfect tool to locate any other reading material. Called “recreational reading”, many of these books are located on separate shelves, marked as “RecRead Collection” in the catalog. See more here.

Browsing the shelves

Next time you are in the Alexander or Carr libraries, or in the Library of Science and Medicine,  look for the recreational collection. You can then simply browse the physical items to find something you like.

In other libraries, many books are collected under one of the literature call numbers, for example: PR for British fiction, PS for American. Recent fiction is usually located near the end of the call number designation for that particular country.

The Alexander Library owns most of the literature collection, see floor plans by the elevator for call number details.
