Welcome to “Cook Reads”, an online community for everyone on the Cook Campus who likes to read and is looking for activities to distract from the daily grind at home. Other than showing you How to find ebooks from Rutgers Libraries and the Internet Archive, we also developed a BWR Online LibGuide, the BWR collection of audiobook titles, and even collected public health documentaries. Come back often and see how the collection grows as the community evolves.

HOW TO: find ebooks from Rutgers Libraries
Instead of trying to find something to read for yourself, your teens or your children from random online sources, we can offer what we have collected so far for our various projects, such as “books in the time of corona,” classics that seem relevant for the current moment, and public health titles nonfiction, and of course, the SEBS Virtual Little Free Library.
HOW TO: find more than just ebooks, such as audiobooks and videos
[Apologies for any duplicated resources across these pages — we have been pulling these together quickly as the situation has developed, in order to provide safe sources in a time when scams and viruses (the computer kind) have proliferated. We want you to be part of Cook Reads! Using the form at the bottom of this page and tag #CookReads, we also invite you to submit your
- book recommendations to write about – also, the libraries will consider purchasing ebooks for instruction and research if submitted via this form
- book reviews – we would be happy to share your book review or favorite story related to a book you read
- ebook and audiobook resources – if you need a second opinion about a source, ask us; we are happy to help!
We are looking forward to hearing from everyone who is confined to working remotely instead of being on the picturesque Cook Campus during these difficult times.
