PosterAs part of the commemoration of the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor, an informative lecture “Moscow’s Starvation of Ukraine (1932-1933) – Why, How, and So What?” was presented by Victor Rud, JD in Douglass Library on Monday, December 4.

The pictures below are meant to serve as an illustration of the atmosphere in the Mabel Smith Douglass room, which, for a few hours, was transformed into an “Ukrainian Village” with great conversations, the Holodomor exhibit, food, and even a few of the traditional  Ukrainian blouses called vyshyvanka and the Ukrainian coat of arms, called the tryzub (trident) by the Ukrainians!
