Ian Dykstra is a student in Rutgers’ MI program, concentrating in Library and Information Science. An early career librarian with reference and technical services experience in academic and public libraries, he is especially interested in collection development and management. Recently, his passion for enabling discovery has led to a growing interest in metadata and bibliographic description. At Books We Read, Ian writes about his widely varying interests, ranging from genre fiction to non-fiction, including deep dives into specific topics. When not hitting the books, Ian likes music, movies, and watching baseball. He lives in West Philadelphia with his wife Noelle and their two cats.
