Nick Allred (MSt., Oxford) is a PhD candidate in the English department here at Rutgers. His research focuses on compulsive habits like drinking and ideas about fictional character in eighteenth-century Britain. Nick has taught courses at Rutgers on poetry, writing, the early novel, and eighteenth-century literature and culture.
At Books We Read, Nick selects reading material, develops discussion question and talking points, and edits (albeit lightly) all content provided by others. He interviewed four renowned American authors at public online events for Summer Tales in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
