The Books We Read team is pleased to announce our upcoming stressbuster Graphic Design is my Passion! The Sequel. The event will be held on April 23 at 2:00 PM. Join us for a fun demonstration on how to use the graphic design platform Canva to create eye-catching marketing materials, with an emphasis on animation and social media usage. We’ll provide a quick overview of the platform functions before exploring the advanced features. Registration for the event is required.
In this workshop, we’ll demonstrate how to use features that may be intimidating to a new user. We’ll take a deep dive into using animations, collaboration between users, and more. Canva provides professional color palettes, font pairings, images, and templates, ensuring that you’ll always have a polished and professional final product. It also has an intuitive interface, making design quick and easy. To see examples of what you can make using Canva, check out the Books We Read Canva gallery and designs created during our last workshop.
Canva is used by companies, educators, and (of course) individuals to design materials. They offer hundreds of curated templates, fonts, and freely usable images. If you’re interested in creating your own beautiful images to share, this workshop is for you. If you use Canva enough, you may even start to notice Canva’s most popular templates and images in flyers you see all around. For our workshop, you won’t even have to make an account––but creating a free account will let you save your favorite designs to copy and reuse.
