We are delighted to present Rutgers University Art Librarian and Books We Read blogger Megan Lotts and her Zine Machine at the 2025 ALA Annual Conference & Exhibition!
From the ALA Program
Popping up in the ALA Connect Lounge near the ALA Store from 9 AM Friday, June 27 through 5 PM Sunday, June 29, the machine dispenses tiny zines created by Megan herself. Think quick guides, mini coloring books, and other pocket-sized surprises. Bring quarters (or ask Megan for change as she’ll often be nearby) and keep an eye out for golden tickets inside the zines. They’re redeemable at the ALA Store in Philly for a classic Editions title or other super swag.
Proceeds benefit the Public Supporter Program to help protect libraries—and you can contribute more than quarters via the QR code displayed by The Zine Machine. A fun paper scroll located alongside the machine will allow supporters to artfully record pledges and any onsite donations they make by QR code.
In addition to complementary consulting for Zine Machine players in the ALA Connect Lounge, Megan Lotts will also lead a discussion of how play can advance teaching and learning in libraries from 11:30 AM to 11:50 AM in the Lounge on Sunday, June 29.
Megan’s huddle discussion is one of three programs by Editions for #ALAAC25 in the ALA Connect Lounge.
