Did you know Rutgers University Libraries have children’s books? Books for Young Adults? Yes, we do! There is a whole collection of International Youth Literature at the Alexander Library with diverse titles waiting to be checked out (pun intended) not only by graduate students taking courses on the Reading habits of young adults or children, but by anyone at Rutgers.
Please join us on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 11 am as we introduce Alexander Library’s International Youth Literature Collection on International Children’s Books Day.
The virtual event will also feature award-winning children’s book authors, Roger Mello and Peter Sis, as well as other guest readers who will read the picture books in Czech, French, Hindi, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and more. Betsy Bird from the Evanston Public Library will highlight the top translated picture books of 2020 and 2021.

The event is sponsored by Rutgers Libraries – New Brunswick, and the School of Communication and Information. Please feel free to forward this announcement to other departments!
